Voluntary Prayer & Spiritual Care

Prayer and spiritual care are led by the local church. ACO volunteers serve in a supporting role under the leadership and guidance of the local church team.

How prayer care is offered

  • Patients may be respectfully informed that prayer is available after pharmacy or at another appropriate time
  • Prayer is always voluntary, respectful, and unconditional
  • Local church leaders listen, encourage, and pray for those who desire prayer
  • ACO volunteers may guide interested patients to the prayer area and support the local church team
  • General prayer needs and possible follow-up opportunities may be documented respectfully when appropriate

How it connects to the outreach

Prayer is an optional invitation after medical care—not a required step in the patient journey. The local church leads this area and provides any appropriate long-term follow-up.
