Missionary Training & Sending

Raising up and sending local believers to carry the Gospel forward — a training institute Africa Cries Out is preparing to build in Senegal.

This is not yet a place you can visit; it is a calling we are following. Looking ahead, ACO plans to build a school to train local believers in the Bible, theology, and practical ministry — and to send them out to serve their churches and reach their own people. The harvest is plentiful, and the workers are few. This is how we hope to raise up more.

Why this matters

The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

Jesus looked on the crowds with compassion and told his disciples, “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.” Across West Africa the need is vast, and the greatest hope for lasting change is not a visiting team that comes and goes, but local believers, called and equipped to serve their own people for a lifetime.

From the beginning, ACO's calling has been not only to heal and to preach, but to raise up workers and send out missionaries — so that the mission takes root in Africa and is carried forward by Africans themselves.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest.” — Matthew 9:37–38
The vision

A missionary training institute in Senegal

In the years ahead — as the Lord provides — ACO hopes to open a school devoted to forming and sending local missionaries.

Bible & theology

A firm foundation in Scripture and sound teaching, so workers are grounded before they are sent.

🤲

Practical ministry

Hands-on training in discipleship, church service, and caring for a community — faith put to work.

Self-supporting service

In the spirit of Paul the tentmaker, students will be equipped to support themselves as they serve, so they are not a burden to the churches they help.

🌱

Local leaders equipped

Coming alongside the pastors and leaders already serving, to strengthen the church that is already there.

🧭

A pathway for volunteers

An open door for those with a lasting calling to grow from short-term service into longer-term mission.

Sending & supporting

Walking with long-term missionaries as they are prepared, sent, and supported to carry the Gospel further.

A different school from our Technical & Vocational School

This missionary training institute is a future plan, distinct from the Technical & Vocational School that Africa Cries Out already runs in Dakar. The vocational school trains young adults in trades so they can work and provide for their families; the missionary institute — still to be built — will form believers to serve churches and take the Gospel further. Different purposes, one shared heart: to raise up local people who lead and serve their own communities.

How it will grow

Built step by step, as the Lord provides.

Like every part of ACO's long-term work, this vision will be built prayerfully and patiently — and you can be part of it from the start.

Pray

Pray for workers

Ask the Lord of the harvest to raise up and send out local believers — and to open the way for this school.

Give

Help lay the foundation

Gifts today move the vision from a prayer toward a place — every gift becomes a worker raised up. 100% reaches the field.

Go

Come and serve

Serve on a mission, mentor a student, or explore a longer-term calling — the first workers are already on the way.

Help raise up and send workers

Stand with Africa Cries Out as we prepare to train and send local missionaries. Every prayer and every gift helps this vision take root.
