In 2014, Africa Cries Out opened its first technical school beside the missionary base of MEADBS, its partner in Senegal, outside Dakar. The vision was simple and lasting: give young adults the opportunity to learn a trade that can immediately change their future — and, through it, help raise up self-sufficient members of the community. It is a long-term expression of our calling — Serving Africa, raising up workers — offered in the love of Christ.

Electrical
Wiring, fittings, and repair — the trade that brings light and power to a home or a workshop.
Aluminum fabrication
Window frames, doors, and structures made in aluminum — steady work in a country that is building.
Carpentry
Woodworking and construction — furniture, fittings, and building work.
Nursing
Foundational health and caregiving skills for service in the community.

A skill is a future
Every graduate is a young person equipped to work, provide for a family, and strengthen their community. We believe practical training is a form of whole-person care — dignity, hope, and opportunity offered so that change can take root and last.
This is what it means to raise up workers: not a hand-out, but a hand extended in the love of Christ, so that the people of Dakar — and, in time, the nation of Senegal — can carry hope forward themselves.
Built step by step, alongside the mission base
The school sits next to the MEADBS missionary base outside Dakar — ACO built it there, and it has grown building by building as the Lord has provided.
- Academic building — a 10,000 sq ft teaching facility, completed in April 2017.
- Student dormitory — a 6,000 sq ft residence. Its first floor was completed in 2019, and a second floor has been added since; together they accommodate 112.
- Utilities & equipment — a power generator, a well, computers, and a professional kitchen added recently keep the campus running day to day.
- Provided through partnership — much of the school’s equipment arrived in three shipping containers sent by partners in China.
