The harvest is plentiful, the workers are few

Leadership, Discipleship & Sending

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." So we do not only do the work — we raise up the people who will carry it.

From the beginning, Africa Cries Out has been called not only to heal and to preach, but to make disciples, raise up young people, equip local leaders, and send out missionaries. We invest in people so the mission takes root in Africa and is carried forward by Africans themselves — for a lifetime, and for generations to come.

Why we invest in people

Served by many hands

Jesus looked on the crowds with compassion and told his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few; ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest field" (Matthew 9:37–38). That prayer shapes everything here.

So we form young people for a lifetime of service, mobilize and equip medical professionals and volunteers, develop local leaders through real responsibility, and open pathways for those called to serve for the long term — raising up co-workers, leaders, and missionaries who will outlast any single mission trip.

"The goal is not a mission that depends on us, but a church and a people who carry the work themselves." — The heart of leadership & sending
