Our Christian faith shapes why we serve, how we serve, and how we understand Gospel witness, healing, compassion, human dignity, discipleship, and long-term transformation.
Matthew 9:35–38 gives ACO a clear picture of Christ-centered ministry: proclaiming the Gospel, healing the sick, showing compassion to the poor, and training workers and sending missionaries into the harvest. These four callings — to preach, to heal, to show compassion, and to train and send — are the core of ACO’s long-term mission, and we seek to serve with that same whole-person purpose.
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Lord and Savior, and that through Him people may receive forgiveness, restoration, hope, and new life.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation for Christian faith, life, and service.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and should be treated with dignity, compassion, respect, and care.
We believe Christians are called to proclaim the Gospel, care for those in need, make disciples, and bear faithful witness to Jesus Christ in the world.
We serve because Jesus calls His followers to love God and love their neighbors.
We believe Christian faith is expressed through both word and action: caring for the sick, welcoming the vulnerable, serving children and families, strengthening communities, and walking faithfully with local churches and trusted partners.
We do not see people as projects or problems to solve. We believe every person is known by God, loved by God, and worthy of dignity and hope.
We seek to reflect the love and character of Christ through practical service, trusted relationships, prayer, encouragement, listening, humility, and local partnership.
We seek to serve in ways that are respectful, responsible, professionally appropriate, and responsive to local needs.
We welcome people from many backgrounds to serve, give, pray, and partner with us. All volunteers, community members, partners, and recipients are treated with dignity and respect.
ACO does not make medical care, food, gifts, children’s activities, or other practical assistance conditional on accepting faith, receiving prayer, or participating in spiritual activities. Faith conversations, prayer, and ministry invitations are offered with respect, cultural sensitivity, freedom of participation, and care for every person’s dignity.
People from many backgrounds can make meaningful contributions through practical care, hospitality, medical service, education, children’s programs, logistics, administration, encouragement, and partnership. Certain ministry responsibilities—including prayer ministry, Bible teaching, discipleship, and evangelism-related service—are entrusted to Christian volunteers who are prepared and willing to serve in those roles.

ACO seeks to help those who serve experience team transformation and spiritual formation; help communities receive healing, Gospel witness, and locally rooted care; and help future workers and leaders grow through mentoring, training, cross-cultural service, and practical responsibility.
We believe that when people respond to God’s call with willing hearts, practical skills, and Christ-centered love, communities can be strengthened and those who serve can also be transformed.
