We are a Christ-centered medical mission ministry bringing Gospel proclamation, healing, compassionate service, and long-term pathways for workers and local communities in Africa.
Annual medical outreach opens the door. Long-term mission bases sustain the work. Together, they help strengthen local capacity, equip future servants, and build faithful service that can endure for generations.
Africa Cries Out exists to follow the example of Jesus Christ by bringing Gospel-centered hope, healing, compassion, and practical care to communities in need in Africa.
Through medical mission, children’s and family care, education, skills development, community support, trusted partnerships, and the formation of future workers, we seek to serve the whole person, the family, and the community—recognizing that physical needs, spiritual hope, dignity, relationships, and opportunity are deeply connected.
We seek to serve with professional humility, cultural respect, and responsible care, never making medical care, food, gifts, or other assistance a condition for receiving the Gospel or participating in spiritual activities.
We believe the vision God has given Africa Cries Out is the one described in Matthew 9:35–38. These four anchors — how we proclaim, heal, serve, equip, and build lasting ministry — flow from that passage:
"Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'"

Jesus went through the towns and villages, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom. So Africa Cries Out is not only a medical team but a platform for gospel mission — bearing witness to Christ in our medical service and carrying the gospel across Africa.
Jesus healed every disease and sickness. Medical missions are our most distinctive feature. God has given us many Christ-loving doctors, nurses, and medical workers, letting us reach remote villages and serve the poor with professional, loving care — so that people experience God’s mercy.
Jesus saw the crowds harassed and helpless, and was moved with compassion. So we offer not only medical care but charitable relief — food assistance, education support, and vocational training — showing the love of Christ through concrete action.
Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” So we not only do the work ourselves but make disciples, train co-workers, raise up youth, equip local leaders, and support and send long-term missionaries — sending more workers across Africa to fulfill the Great Commission.
These anchors are connected. ACO’s medical mission is not separate from compassion, Gospel witness, local partnership, discipleship, or the development of future workers. We seek to bring them together with wisdom, professional responsibility, and respect for the people and communities we serve.
We envision communities in Africa strengthened through Gospel witness, safe healthcare, compassionate service, education, practical skills, trusted local partnership, and long-term hope.
We also envision volunteers, youth, families, churches, medical professionals, donors, schools, businesses, and partner organizations growing in compassion, service, faith, practical skill, and meaningful participation in God’s work.
As God leads and provides, we hope to grow into a connected mission network — annual medical outreach that listens and serves; long-term mission bases that sustain healthcare, training, discipleship, and community care; local leaders and missionaries raised and sent; and, in time, new bases that take root across Africa and link North America, Asia, and Africa in one shared mission. The ten-year plan for this is set out on our Strategic Plan.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves respect, care, honor, and freedom from coercion. We do not see people as projects or problems to solve.
We respond to real needs with thoughtful, useful, and compassionate action through healthcare, education, children’s care, food and water support, skills development, and community service.
We are committed to more than short-term relief. We seek to build trust, strengthen local capacity, and support lasting systems, relationships, and opportunities that can serve communities over time.
We serve alongside local churches, medical and community partners, schools, organizations, volunteers, donors, and supporters. Lasting impact grows through trust, mutual respect, local insight, and shared responsibility.
We seek to use resources, data, stories, and influence responsibly, transparently, and wisely—honoring donor trust, professional standards, privacy, safeguarding, and the people we serve.
We seek to listen before acting, learn from local communities and partners, welcome accountability, record outcomes honestly, and improve the way we serve over time.
